I purchased my 73 Nova in the spring of 2009. She was partially disassembled, and basically we brought her home in pieces. This is my first build and with the help of my husband Kevin, we have been rebuilding and assembling the car since.
First on the list was the engine, 350 4 bolt block with Eagle crank, Pink rods, TRW 10 ˝ - 1 pistons, Comp Cams camshaft with 292 duration and 480 lift, Comp Cams lifters, push rods, and roller rockers. Heads are ported & polished 202’s with Comp Cams springs, topped off with a Weiand single plane intake and a MSD distributor and tonnes of chrome.
We have 60 hours combined into grinding, sanding, priming and painting the block, heads and intake to a perfectly smooth finish….and as you can see by the pictures she is pretty in pink ;), but she’s not done yet…..
The transmission is a turbo 350, ground, sanded and painted pink to match the engine, with a B&M manual valve body, 3500 stall and tonnes of chrome.
As for the body, we are working on many modifications, including Competition Engineering rear frame rails and a mini tub, Competition Engineering 8 point cage, new floors, smoothed firewall, smoothed sub-frame, chrome suspension components, and many other subtle modifications.
