One summer day in 2006, I was working at a nearby gas station. An old lady pulled up to the pumps in a mint 1979 Pontiac Parisienne. She asked to have it filled up and check the oil.

After servicing her vehicle, she asked me what I thought her car would be worth. I stepped back, took a quick gander and politely took her I didn't know what he would be worth. Car was mint, had some dents on it and a dent in the rear passenger side. I told her, the best bet was to call CAA and explain to them what you have and what the book value was. She asked me if I was interested in the car, and I told her to get back to me when she had a price in mind.
