First and foremost, Thank You Father for purchasing this car, tho I wouldn't have minded having that 70 SS :). Thank You for always taking the time to keep the car going for me, and for those nights you and Uncle Bob had to tow me home. Even tho I haven't been the best son, you never let that stop you. Also would like to say thanks again for taking the time to document and deal with Autopac when I had those accidents back in '96 and '97. Who knows what junkyard the car would have gone to, and how badly those vultures would have stripped it bare. Thank You for taking the time to help me at the junkyards, to get the parts we needed after that accident in '97. Thank You to my grandfather, (who was the second owner). Back when I was a kid, my grampa would always tell me (and my friends if they were around) that the car would be mine someday. Another big thank you for your efforts & care in trying to keep the car looking nice. Whether it was by washing it down in the winter time after your trips to the grocery store or by helping to keep it from rusting, sanding it down and touching it up with a paintbrush. The car is still looks great from 20 feet :). Thank You again Grampa for not selling the car, to those whom had come up to you and asked if it was for sale, and even tho they may of offered a good price, you've always turned them down. Thank You to my Uncle Bob, whom on a few occassions, had to come out (sometimes late at night) to my rescue. One summer it turned out to be twice in 3 days. One way or another he was able to help me drag the nova home, whether he used the old Impala, or his new van, the nova made it home. Thanks again Uncle Bob for the old Impala, which you gave to me for parts. Some of those pieces/parts are in use in the nova today. I also have to thank my mother who has to put up with my dad after I get him all-worked up because of, how or what *I've* done with the nova over the years. Thank You Mom for letting use the garage for most of 2005. From early April, when I broke the Rocker-Stud and had to pull the top end of the motor apart to August, while we were having issues in the neighborhood with vandalism and car break-ins through the summer months. Your poor car sat outside, being exposed to the weather elements for a couple of months! :) |
I would like to thank my good friend Trevor, and he's a known Nova Parts guy in Winnipeg. You need something for your Nova, just talk to Trev. Trev has on a few occassions offered his time to help me fix up my car when needed. Also for being there to talk too and keep me company on Cruise Nights at Pony Coral/Buffalo Bills over the years. Thanks Trev. Check out a picture of Trev's 72 Nova in my 'Friends & Their Cars' page. A HUGE Thank You goes to my good friend and fellow co-worker, Glenn, who helping me out with everything from small repairs, to helping me build a kick-ass 400. I've learnt a GREAT DEAL about the powertrain of vehicles and how it all works. I have to thank him for ALL his time and patiences, and not to mention the countless hours that the nova has spent in his garage. Glenn has played a big part in all Project MEAN GREEN projects and without his guidance, my car would still be slow and probably still stock today. Thanx for your patiences and endless hours of instructing and teaching me the ways. Thank You Craig Bennett, who also works with me, who originally gave me a small spot and some space on his hosting service to run my not-so-little site. Also for taking the time to show me how to setup pages in HTML, and for helping me out with the pictures and getting the ball rolling. Craig was also the one to register chevynova.ca for me as a christmas gift.
Thank You to Stu Nicol & Glasgow Autobody, A Thank You to Andrew Law & Tim Voros, my old bosses at Osborne Park Service (Petro Canada) where I worked at for 2 years. For all the time they let me hang around and use the shop to work on my Nova. Also Thank You to Andy Cavers, for the nights you left your ToolBox open so that I had tools to use to work on my Nova. A BIG Thank you to ALL of the Nova ListServ Crew, Bruce Johnson, Craig Watson, Scott Windle for all the references, info, help & knowledge, and advice and Roger Norman, for the hours spent chatting away on ICQ. ... OOPS! almost forgot, Thank You to my good friend, Gabrielle for the hours you spent gazing my page and corrected my spelling and grammatic errors. Thank you to the fine artists who have spent their hard working time to bring us some great art/animations!!! Thank You to Kelly Holmes, another good friend & cruisin' buddy, who has taught me how to wet-sanding and polish up and detailing of my car. For the countless hours you helped out in the garage helping Kyle & I wet-sanding my car. Also for the countless hours you've let me use the garage to tinker away on the Nova. Thank You to Kyle Hillier, another good friend & cruisin' buddy, who as mentioned above, helped me out with Wet-Sanding my car and for always being around and offering to help out in any way. Thank You to Dan Klim of DRK Performance, who has helped me out with Project MEAN GREEN ... Dan did all the machining to the 400 block, bored it .030 over, put the pistons on the connecting rods. Dan rebuilt my heads in 2005 after I broke a rocker stud, correcting a poor built done when I had them rebuilt when building the 400 in 2003. I noticed a HUGE difference in the car rightaway. In 2005, Dan built me a QJet & in 2006, a HEI Distributor. Dan is YOUR man if you need any engine work done!! Thank You to Chris Derksen, who built me a bullet-proof TH350 during the winter of 2005-06. With tranny-problems looming in 2005, I started going around finding out who builds a good transmission, as I'm extremly hard on'em. Chris' name was thrown my way by a few enthusiasts. I asked Chris if he'd be able to build me a transmission strong enough to hold up to his car (Chris has a 1000+HP, 8 second 69 TransAm Firebird). Spring of 2006, the transmission was built for me, and WHAT A DIFFERENCE!. It's nice to be able to put the power to the wheels. Thank You to Shelly Levasseur and Brandan, whom both have helped me out in the past when all kinds of repairs or tweeks to the Nova. Everything from waxing the car, to swapping transmissions in 2006. Thank you ever so much for the use of your garage Shelly! Thank You to Will Tataryn, (an old friend) who took me under his wing at the car lots back when I first started cruisin' in the nova. I truely enjoyed our time hanging out at MANY car shows and all the Cruise Nights, EVERY Sunday evening. Always looked forward to Sunday night and hanging out with Will. Will was also reponsible for getting my car featured in WILLY'S GARAGE back in 2003. I sure hope I didn't leave anyone out, if I did, I'm sorry, I don't have the greatest of memory, please email me so I can fix it and add you. A Final Thank You to you, the user who took the time to go through my site and read about my joy and reason for living, my nova.
